A FINE HEYM ENGRAVED .300 (WIN. MAG.) 'MOD. R93 ROYAL' BOLT-MAGAZINE SPORTING RIFLE WITH SECOND .375 (H&H MAG.) BARREL, serial nos. 9/90178 and 9/69374,
63cm. blacked nitro barrel engraved in low relief with foliage heightened with gold at the breech and on each side of the mounting-blocks for the fore- and rear-sight, receiver with blacked foliate engraved bolt with highly figured walnut ball finial, action body engraved in low relief with further foliage with gold border lines and gold scrollwork framing on each side a differing vignette chiselled with an African game scene, that on the left side signed 'W. HEYM' and involving a Cape Buffalo being attacked by a lion and a lioness, that on the right with three bush elephants, gold-washed trigger, 14 3/8in. highly figured pistolgrip stock, shaped raised cheek-piece, chequered swelled grip and schnabel fore-end, each panel of chequering bordered with carved foliage, dark horn butt-plate and pistolgrip-cap, the latter with large 835 standard silver escutcheon, sling mounts, the second blacked nitro barrel measuring 63cm. and decorated en suite with the .300 (Win. Mag.) barrel. This rifle appears to be virtually unused.
