29 15/16in. nitro barrels with side-ribs and ventilated matt top-rib, over barrel engraved 'BOSS & CO. 13 - 14 CORK STREET. LONDON. W.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and 1/4 choke, hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, gold-inlaid blued cocking-indicators, incorporating Boss patent barrel locking action, patent no. 3307 of 10th February 1909, Boss patent improved ejector mechanism, patent no. 3308 of 10th February 1909, Boss improved patent single-trigger, patent no. 11278 of 10th May 1905, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine acanthus scroll and floral bouquet engraving, retaining virtually full original colour-hardening and finish, 14 5/8in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock including 7/8in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 8lb. 1oz., in its lightweight leather case.
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was ordered on the 18th June 1959 with 29 15/16in. barrels for Luigi Lazzaroni (Italy)
