A 16-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED C. MOORE, LONDON, serial no. 1709,
for between 1825-42, with London proved rebrowned 30in. laminated barrels signed on the top-rib 'C. MOORE, 77 ST. JAMES'S STREET, LONDON', both breech-blocks with inlet platinum poincons marked in relief with a crown and 'C. MOORE PATENT', the underside of barrels marked 'CHARLES MOORE, NOTTING HILL FORGE, HORSE STUBS ONLY', top tang with traces of engraving, isolated bar-action borderline and scroll engraved hump-backed locks with dipped tails and signed on the bars 'C. MOORE'S PATENT', engraved hammers (right hand spur poor replacement), highly figured walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, engraved iron furniture (detail lost) and provision for under-barrel ramrod (ramrod absent)
