serial number on under-rib only (forward of loop), circa 1880, 32in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels (in 1972), rib inscription rubbed, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 choke in both, wall thicknesses at 13 and 19, some minor pits and dents, Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences with button-head strikers, rebounding sidelocks, grip safety, fine acanthus scroll engraving, the underlever thumbpiece with bold acanthus on a stippled ground, 14 1/4in. figured stock including 1in. wooden extension, fore-end with extended Anson push rod release, weight 5lb. 13oz.
