AN EXTREMELY RARE 10.15 x 61mm (JARMANN) BOLT-ACTION GRAVITY-FED REPEATING RIFLE, no visible serial number,
possibly a prototype and almost certainly by the Norwegian, Jacob Smith Jarmann, circa 1885, with round 32 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, rounded receiver with a most unusual bolt featuring an exaggerated swept bolt-handle extending back along and behind the trigger guard bow, the top of bolt with moulded platform with a stud to engage the underside of a gravity fed magazine (magazine absent), the right side of receiver with large socket to locate the magazine, rear flag safety to the cocking piece (worn), walnut straight hand full-stock of similar design to the Swedish contract Jarmann with three barrel-bands, sling swivels and iron heel-plate
