MARLIN NEW HAVEN CONN USA' and 'BALLARD'S PATENT NOV 5 1861', falling block breech with external hammer, vernier tang sight, walnut butt-stock with iron semi crescent heel-plate, full finger under-lever opening, double set triggers and walnut splinter fore-end with horn inlay at tip
