for 1790, expertly restored and reconverted back to flintlock, with blued octagonal 10in. barrels signed on the top-flat 'MANTON, LONDON', small applied blade fore-sights, dove-tailed standing notch rear-sights to the breech-ends, reed and ball engraved bands, engraved marshall trophies to the top-tangs, slightly curved bevel-edged step-tailed lockplates signed 'MANTON', roller-bearing frizzen-springs, walnut full-stocks with slab-sided bag-shaped butts, iron furniture, pineapple finials and replacement horn-tipped mahogany ramrods, TOGETHER WITH a period mahogany storage case, compartmented and lined in dark velvet and containing a scissors ball-mould and a three-way flask embossed with ribbons and oak leaves (Riling 560)
