ETIENNE', bead fore-sight, dove-tailed standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, detachable reservoir cylinder beneath the barrel with knurled decoration and numbered '29484', blued action engraved with foliage and scrollwork, rotating tap with rectangular aperture for shot cartridge or ball, external central hammer, walnut straight-hand butt-stock with chequered wrist, hard-rubber heel-plate embossed with an air balloon trademark and marked 'PAUL GIFFARD INVENTEUR', adjustable trigger, engraved guard, the whole retaining a strong amount of finish and together with a later engineer-produced filling adaptor
