A 16-BORE PERCUSSION SPORTING RIFLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1855, with laminated octagonal 30in. multi-groove rifled barrel, the top-flat signed 'GEO. FULLER, 104 WARDOR ST. SOHO LONDON' (sic), blued dove-tailed blade fore-sight, blued rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves, colour hardened breech-block with platinum line and engraved with a venerable oak tree, border and scroll engraved top-tang also engraved with the head of a leopard, border and scroll engraved bar-action lock further engraved with a gamescene of stags and does, safety bolt behind the dolphin headed hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist and fitted with iron furniture, including a chequered raised spur to the lower tang, single set trigger and substantial bun-tipped ebony ramrod, furniture and lock lightly cleaned with minor loss to engraved detail
