dated 1887, with 32 1/2in. sighted barrel stamped 'N.S / NEP' [Native Service / Nepal], plus inspection, proof and WD and Broad Arrow ownership marks, falling block action, right side of receiver with crown over 'V.R / ENFIELD / 1886' with lock-viewer's mark over 'I.V / 1.', plus 'K.K. A' reversed arrows mark [Kirkee Arsenal sold-out-of-service mark] with date '11.08' (similar marks occur on the nocksform flat), full walnut stock, butt with indistinct markings including a roundel, complete with sling swivels and cleaning rod, filled loss in butt around butt-plate tang, 49 1/2in. overall
