circa 1882, with well reblued 33in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating tangent rear-sight, slab-sided receiver marked with the manufacturing arsenal and the date, loading aperture to right side, tubular bolt-housing with central fire bolt and turned down bolt-handle, walnut butt-stock, full-length walnut fore-end concealing the tubular magazine, iron furniture and under-barrel clearing rod
