LONDON.', block-mounted open sights with two folding leaf sights marked 65, 150 and 200, ramp-mounted bead fore-sight, some losses to finish, the receiver mounted with a Swarovski Z6 1,7-10x42 telescopic sight, serial no. R802380903, in quickly-detachable mounts, the rings engraved 'W.J. JEFFERY & SON' and '40021', the receiver ring engraved 'CALIBRE .375 H&H FOR BIG GAME', florally-engraved recoil blocks, hinged straddle floorplate with push button release, beaded border engraving and a central relief-engraved portrait of a buffalo (signature indistinct) and gold-inlaid with the calibre designation, light surface patination, the triggerguard gold-inlaid with the serial number, highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), sling swivels, 15 5/8in. pull including 3/8in. recoil pad, weight 9lb. 6oz. (unscoped) and 10lb. 13oz. (with scope)
