A GOOD PAIR OF 22-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOLS SIGNED WILSON, LONDON, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1745, with round slightly swamped triple-staged iron 9in. barrels, engraved bands at each intersection, the central sections engraved with the crest of a swan's neck above a three-lobed coronet, the breech-sections marked 'MINORIES LONDON' and stamped with Richard Wilson's makers mark and London proofs, pointed top-tangs with shallow sighting grooves, borderline engraved radiused locks further engraved with a crescent moon surrounded by stars on the tail and signed in script below the pans 'WILSON', unbridled frizzens, swan-necked cocks, walnut full-stocks with carved aprons around the top-tangs, brass furniture, the crescent moon device repeated in relief on the heels of the long-eared butt-caps and engraved to both sides of same and to the trigger guard bow, trophy side-plates, acorn finials and brass tipped ramrods with iron worms (miss-matched)
