for 1937, 27in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the tubes engraved 'HENRY ATKIN LTD. 88, JERMYN ST. LONDON. S.W.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, Atkin spring-opening action based on the Beesley / Purdey 1880 patent with 1909 improved model ejectors, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, articulated front trigger, best fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, the underside with 'HENRY ATKIN LONDON', retaining some original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. stock including 1in. recoil pad, weigh 6lb. 3oz.
