A 32-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-BARRELLED PISTOL WITH SPRUNG BAYONET, SIGNED J. & W. WOOD, no visible serial number, in a later case,
the pistol circa 1850, with octagonal profile 5 1/2in. side-by-side barrels, the left signed in script 'JNO. & WM. WOOD', the right 'MANCHESTER', scroll engraving at breech, the top-rib mounted with a triangular section bayonet released via a catch at tang, carved fences with screwed plugs, radiused scroll engraved boxlock side-hammer action (one hammer a working replacement), bolted safes, finely chequered walnut grip with engraved flat iron cap with central trap, guarded double triggers and captive under-barrel iron ramrod, traces of finish in sheltered areas, in a well produced modern walnut case lined and compartmented in blue baize and including a flask, turn-screw, nipple-key, cleaning rod, oil bottle and powder measure
