the lock dated 1868, with blued round 35 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, the breech with commercial London proofs and 'STEEL', flip-open breech with sprung thumb-catch and 'L.A.C.' trademark, colour hardened lock with crown device and date, walnut full-stock, the underside with '93/1035', brass furniture except for three iron barrel-bands and incorrect ramrod, much finish remaining
