28in. Greener trade mark nitro barrels with broad raised matt rib, banner engraved 'W. W. GREENER. MAKER. 29. PALL MALL. LONDON. S.W.', open sights and two folding leaf sights marked for 100, 200 and 300 yards, ramped bead fore-sight, tubes engraved 'AMMmt. .360. No.2 EXPRESS. 3IN. CASE. CORDITE 55 GRS. BULLET 320 GRS.', shouldered treble-grip action, removable striker discs, manual side-safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, beaded border engraving with scenes of prowling lion and tiger, the shoulders with oak leaves and the makers name on a matt background, retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured pistolgrip stock, engraved and colour-hardened steel pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes and chequered steel buttplate, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch and horn finial, weight 11lb. 10oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this rifle was completed in its current calibre with 28in. barrels in September 1924 with a twist rate of 1/16.
