* AN UNUSUAL .25 BREAK-BARREL SPRING-PISTON AIR-RIFLE, UNSIGNED, MODEL ' SIDE-CATCH MILLITA-TYPE', serial no. 1086,
possibly for October 1886, with blued two-stage 19 3/4in. smoothbore barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, plain nickel-plated air-chamber with sprung sliding button-catch opener to the left hand side near breech, walnut straight hand butt-stock with nickel-plated heel-plate, scrolled trigger-guard tang and bow (detached at front end), adjustable box trigger mechanism suspended below the air chamber, solid nickel-plated cocking-link, the whole retaining a fair proportion of original finish (losses mainly to right hand side)
