mid-19th century, 14 1/2in. sighted brass barrel of approx. 1 1/2in. diam. signed 'EVANS & LOW'S PATENT NO. 21' towards the breech (muzzle dented, nipple damaged, rear-sight missing), the rear of the breech with screw-cap, plain side-lock (some pitting), walnut half-stock with chequered grip and grooved fore-end, iron mounts (corroded).
