A BRASS-BARRELLED PERCUSSION BLUNDERBUSS,
early 19th century, converted from flintlock, 14 1/2in. three-stage barrel with belled muzzle and octagonal border engraved breech section, spring bayonet fitted beneath with release catch in front of trigger-guard, engraved iron tang, flat bevelled border engraved lock signed 'THOMAS' and with stepped tail, figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip, engraved brass mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, silver barrel-bolt escutcheons and shield-shaped escutcheon, original brass-tipped ramrod with worm mounted to the left of the barrel (iron parts with some pitting and discolouration), Tower private proof marks.
