A GERMAN 20-BORE SINGLE-BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING RIFLE,
mid-19th century, 28in swamped twist octagonal barrel signed 'ULBRICH IN DRESDEN' towards the breech and rifled with eight grooves, bead fore-sight, rear-sight of one standing and one folding leaf, scroll engraved patent breech inlaid with two silver lines and with engraved pierced plug, foliate and scroll engraved tang, case-hardened border and scroll engraved detented lock signed 'ULBRICH IN DRESDEN', figured walnut half-stock with chequered grip, blued set triggers, blued scroll engraved mounts including butt-plate and scrolled trigger-guard, case-hardened scroll engraved trigger-plate, silver escutcheon engraved with a crest and motto, white metal barrel-bolt escutcheons, sling eyes, detachable blued sling mounts, and dark horn fore-end cap (ramrod missing), in associated relined and refitted case (lid split) with iron pincer type bullet mould marked 'LEPPER'.
