A 'WALLOON HILTED' BROADSWORD,
late 17th century, with shortened and reprofiled 35in. slightly tapering blade with narrow fuller with running wolf of Passau marks and indistinct inscriptions, the iron hilt with heart-shaped guard pierced with small star-shaped holes, short scrolled quillon, thumb-ring and large globular pommel, wire-bound grip (lightly pitted overall).
