early 19th century, with 8in. swamped barrel signed 'LONDON' and engraved with a band of beadwork at the breech, silver spider fore-sight, border and foliate engraved iron tang, flat bevelled lock signed 'KETLAND & CO.' and with stepped tail, figured walnut full stock with flat-sided butt and inlaid with silver wire scrollwork around the barrel-tang, engraved brass mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, brass shield-shaped escutcheon, and later horn-tipped ramrod, Tower private proof marks.
