62.5cm. blued octagonal to round nitro barrel signed 'GEORG GROIS AUSTRIA' in silver, scroll engraved ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with flip-up moon-sight, scroll engraved quarter-rib with silver-inlaid '.416 RIGBY' and rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves calibrated to 150 metres and each with silver-inlaid centre-line, border and scroll engraved matt grey receiver with silver-inlaid ribbon on each side of the receiver-ring, fitted with a Schmidt & Bender 4-12x42 telescopic sight in quick detachable mounts, the rings engraved en suite with the receiver, 15in. figured pistolgrip stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil-pad, raised cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, pistolgrip-cap engraved with an outline map of Africa decorated with silver-inlaid lines against a matt ground in imitation of zebra hide, border and scroll engraved mounts including trigger-guard with silver shield-shaped escutcheon and magazine floor-plate with a silver-inlaid zebra being chased down by three hyenas, dark horn fore-end cap, sling mounts, in fitted flight case with serial numbered full-tang drop-point knife engraved '.416 RIGBY' and with walnut grip-scales, a .416. round of ammunition converted into a ball-point pen, and a small portion of barrel-blank. This rife appears to be little used.
