WEBLEY
A RARE .455 'MARK IV' CADET MODEL SIX-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION SERVICE REVOLVER, serial no. 111401,
6in. blued octagonal nitro barrel with drift-adjustable fore-sight, holster guides, blued cylinder and frame, the latter marked 'WEBLEY MARK IV PATENTS', chequered hard rubber bird's head grips, lanyard ring, and much original blued finish throughout.
Other Notes: The Cadet Model revolver as it is now known was a conversion to a standard 4in. barrelled Mark IV service revolver as per List of Changes No. 13057 of 21st November 1905 for gentleman cadets at Sandhurst and Woolwich to purchase from store. The conversion consisted of the original 4in. barrel being cut from the barrel-block and a new 6in. barrel dovetailed in its place. The conversions are of a high standard and were almost certainly done by either the factory or at RSAF Enfield.
