LONDON' (signature refreshed) and marked 'PATENT', scroll engraved case-hardened action with blued toplever marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT', border and scroll engraved locks each signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', 14 3/4in. figured crab-joint stock with chequered grip and fore-end, blued border and scroll engraved butt-plate and trigger-guard, case-hardened border and scroll engraved trigger-plate, dark horn fore-end cap, and silver escutcheon engraved with the initials 'M.R.C.' (refinished throughout), in fitted brass-cornered leather case lined in red baize, with lift-out tray containing accessories including Hawksley reloading tool, the lid with Westley Richards trade label, the exterior with large oval brass escutcheon.
