A CASED 54-BORE FIVE-SHOT DOUBLE-ACTION PERCUSSION WEDGE-FRAME REVOLVER OF WEBLEY-TYPE SIGNED ADAMS, LONDON,
mid-19th century, with 6in. blued octagonal sighted barrel engraved with a spray of foliage on each side near the breech-end, blued border and scroll engraved top-strap signed 'ADAMS. LONDON', blued border and scroll engraved cylinder and frame (mechanism at fault), chequered walnut grips, blued border and scroll engraved trigger-guard, and blued rammer (reblued throughout, engraving worn), Birmingham proof marks, in later lined and fitted oak case for a cartridge loading revolver, the lid with Army & Navy trade label, with some accessories including Hawksley oil bottle (some partitions loose, right end of case detached, right edge of lid missing).
