A CASED PAIR OF 50-BORE PERCUSSION TRAVELLING PISTOLS SIGNED WILKINSON, BRISTOL,
circa 1840, with 6in. octagonal rebrowned twist sighted barrels each signed 'WILKINSON BRISTOL', border and scroll engraved breeches, tangs and back-action locks, the tangs each incorporating the rear-sight, the locks each signed 'WILKINSON', figured walnut full stocks (cracks and repairs mainly to each fore-end), chequered butts, engraved iron mounts (some minor surface corrosion), white metal escutcheons, and later horn-tipped ramrods, Birmingham proof marks, in associated lined and fitted case with some accessories including pistol-flask and Hawksley oil bottle.
