mid-19th century, with 30in. two-stage twist sighted barrel signed 'W. & J. RAWBONE. CAPE TOWN' towards the breech, border and scroll engraved recessed breech, border and scroll engraved tang and lock, the latter signed 'W. & J. RAWBONE', walnut half-stock (some bruising) with chequered grip and fore-end, the stock incised with the name 'W. LAM' opposite the lock, border and scroll engraved iron mounts including pistolgrip trigger-guard, silver shield-shaped escutcheon, and horn fore-end cap (iron parts discoloured throughout), Birmingham proof marks.
