first half of the 19th century, with 44 1/4in. swamped sighted barrel with full length sighting flat and rifled with twelve grooves, rounded border engraved lock (steel and tumbler replaced), set triggers (at fault), full stock of characteristic form with heavy butt (fore-end partially replaced, some old cracks), raised cheek-piece incised with scrollwork, border and scroll engraved brass mounts including solid side-plate, and iron ramrod (some discolouration and scattered patches of corrosion marking to iron parts).
