A CONTINENTAL 22-BORE DOUBLE-BARRELLED FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN,
early 19th century, with 34 1/2in. slightly shortened sighted barrels, border and foliate engraved grooved tang, rounded locks each with roller, walnut half-stock with chequered grip, raised cheek-piece and carved in relief with a bouquet behind the barrel-tang (repaired above the lock, fore-end with old chips along the edges), engraved iron mounts including scrolled pistolgrip trigger-guard, iron sling mounts, and later ramrod (cleaned bright with pitting throughout, front barrel-bolt missing).
