A .75 FLINTLOCK OFFICER'S FUSIL,
early 19th century, with 39 1/4in. octagonal to round two-stage sighted barrel, engraved grooved tang, border engraved flat bevelled lock signed 'PARR' and with roller (mainspring at fault), walnut three-quarter stock carved with initials 'L / V. H' in front of the trigger-guard (fore-end cracked and with old repair), brass mounts including butt-plate and solid side-plate each engraved with martial trophy and trigger-guard with pineapple finial, border engraved brass escutcheon, and iron ramrod (sling mounts missing, iron parts heavily discoloured), Tower private proof marks, together with A SOCKET BAYONET, with 17in. tapering blade of triangular section, the forte with indistinct maker's name (discoloured and lightly pitted throughout).
