28in. nitro replacement barrels (by another in 1955 - some internal pitting), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, native repair to top-strap, selective single trigger, fine acanthus scroll engraving (some wear), brushed bright finish overall, 14in. poorly fitted replacement stock (cracked and pinned at head), insert repair to fore-end, weight 6lb. 5oz., in a canvas case.
The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed as No.2 of a pair for W.A. Elmhirst Esquire in 1888.
