A PAIR OF 48-BORE FLINTLOCK BOXLOCK POCKET PISTOLS SIGNED DAVISON, NEWCASTLE,
circa 1820, with 1 1/2in. turn-off barrels each engraved with a band of foliage at the muzzle, actions each signed 'DAVISON / NEWCASTLE' and engraved with borders and a martial trophy on each side, folding triggers, sliding thumb-piece safety-catches each also locking the steel (one steel-spring missing), flat-sided walnut butts, and silver escutcheons (iron parts discoloured), Birmingham proof marks.
