AN UNUSUAL EASTERN COMBINED FLINTLOCK AXE-PISTOL,
19th century, with 7 1/4in. three-stage cannon barrel fitted with mounting block for the pierced axe-blade in front of the breech, the top of the block with minarets, the axe-blade decorated with two hounds, boxlock mechanism with traces of scroll engraving, the handle with ivory grip-scales (some loose, iron parts heavily discoloured).
