30in. Whitworth-steel nitro barrels, the tubes engraved 'SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S. FLUID PRESSED STEEL. HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.' (No.2 with left wall thickness at 17-), scroll engraved and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke (No.1) and 1/4 choke in both (No.2), carved shell fences, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators (gold missing from left of No.1 gun and right side of No.2), fine border and acanthus scroll engraving surrounding the makers name, brushed bright and reblued finish, 14 1/4in. well-figured stocks (No.1 cracked and repaired at hand), weight 6lb. 4oz. (No.1) and 6lb. 10oz. (No.1), in a maroon leather double motorcase with canvas outer.
