LONDON' in the upper flute, '.455 C.F.' engraved on the left side, Charles Lancaster patent stamp to breech face, blued action with first type of barrel-latch mounted on breech block, early 'square' type butt with fine chequering and steel butt cap with lanyard ring, London proof marks
