circa 1854, with 17cm. blued octagonal sighted barrel, the top-strap and barrel signed 'MANUFD. BY A. FRANCOTTE LICENCED BY R. ADAMS & CO. LONDON', border engraved cylinder with patent number, blued border and scroll engraved frame signed 'ADAMS PATENT NO. 15939' with crowned 'AF' stamp and cartouche marked 'ADAMS 1851 PATENT', chequered walnut butt, border and scroll engraved butt-cap and trigger-guard, the former with hinged trap-cover, rammer, and some original blued finish, in refitted and relined case with some accessories including brass bullet-mould and Dixon pistol-flask, the exterior with shaped brass escutcheon.
