first quarter of the 19th century with 32 1/2in round twist-steel sighted barrel, side bar for 'Baker' style bayonet (possible later addition), military pattern border-line engraved lock with dated tail and 'rampant gardant lion' mark both deliberately defaced, walnut re-profiled full-stock with brass furniture (hairline crack running back through top side-nail hole), original steel rammer and iron sling swivels (some discolouration to metal surfaces)
