Literature: The vendor has kindly supplied the following information:

"We are indebted to the company secretary for his hand-written minutes. Due to his care and attention to detail, we read that the former firm of Lang & Hussey Ltd. of 102 New Bond Street was put into liquidation and a new firm with the same name was established to take over the old company's assets and those of Joseph Lang & Son, then of 10 Pall Mall 'and elsewhere'. Henry Webley became the chairman of the board of directors and he and his brother, Thomas William, were major shareholders. After H.J. Hussey's enforced resignation for fraud, in 1901 their company's name was changed from Lang & Hussey Ltd. to Joseph Lang & Son Ltd. We learn from this ledger that Herbert White was promoted from sales assistant to manager and then to managing director and had several patents registered in his name. Anxious to obtain more business, Henry Webley suggests that their shooting school be called 'shooting grounds' in order to make it seem 'less objectionable to experienced sportsmen'."
