LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '1', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and full choke, Gibbs & Pitt patent barrel-cocking hammerless action, patent no. 284 of 1873, use number 2117, stamped on the flats with the S.W. Silver trademark, disengaged automatic tang safety with 'LOCK'D' detail, S.W. Silver patent 'TRULY AUTOMATIC SAFETY BOLT' grip safety, cocking-indicators, removable striker discs, dipped-edge lockplates, fine bouquet and scroll engraving with feathered borders, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip full crossover stock, with fluted pistolgrip-cap and 5/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 9oz.
