early 20th century, gilded cast brass hilt with foliate decoration (some losses to gilding), single knuckle bow and stylised shell guard with relief decoration of a pointer, ivory scales with acorn devices, the 13in. single edged blade etched with hunting scenes and scrolls (slight staining), makers mark to ricasso, in its original gilt mounted leather scabbard (leather and gilding worn)
