28in. nitro barrels with raised matt game rib and side ribs, the top barrel engraved 'J. PURDEY & SONS, LONDON, ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, Teague multi-chokes (with full complement of Purdey engraved spares), hold-open toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, carved fences and side-bolsters, gold-inlaid blued cocking-indicators, non-selective single trigger, rolled edge triggerguard, profuse engraving of best fine bouquet and scrollwork, the triggerplate signed 'M.S.', retaining full original colour-hardened finish, 14 3/4in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with engraved steel pistolgrip-cap and including 1/2in. leather-covered recoil pad, weight 7lb. 12oz., in its fitted aluminium case with fitted canvas outer and complement of original Purdey accessories and Purdey booklet (detailing full specifications of the gun).
