A FINE AND RARE .577 PATTERN 1856 PERCUSSION VOLUNTEER SERVICE PISTOL,
dated '1864', with 10in. barrel retaining some original blued finish, rifled with five grooves and with rear-sight of one standing and two folding leaves graduated to 300 yards, dated border engraved lock marked 'TOWER' and with a crown on the tail, walnut three-quarter stock, brass mounts, and iron stirrup ramrod, Birmingham proof marks.
