Provenance: The vendor has confirmed to us that this jacket was the property of Sir Joseph Nickerson

Other Notes: Sir Joseph Nickerson, the famed industrialist, was one of the finest game shots of modern times as well as the successful author of 'A Shooting Man's Creed'. He shot a great deal and was once peppered by Willie Whitelaw on a grouse moor, it is recorded that he was the perfect gentlemen about the whole affair. Sir Joseph died in 1990, aged 76.
