A FINE PAIR OF KELL-ENGRAVED 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 8371 / 2,
28in. nitro reproved barrels, ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2', engraved 'WATSON BROS. 29 OLD BOND STREET. LONDON.' and with bold arabesque engraving at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', treble-grip actions, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, fully engraved with bold arabesque scrollwork interspersed with ribbons, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/2in. figured stocks with diamond grips and including 7/8in. rubber recoil pads, weight 7lb., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case (some baize replaced).
The makers have kindly confirmed that the guns were completed in 1923 with 28in. barrels. The guns were stocked by Ebeneezer Hands and the 'Special Engraving' would have been executed by Harry Kell
