30in. nitro reproved bold damascus barrels, broad raised rib engraved in script 'JAMES McCRIRICK. AYR' and with a sunburst at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, left bore measurement marginal, action incorporating F.T. Baker patent no. 403 of 1866, use number 492, Jones patent rotary-underlever with the extractor being operated by a bar through the action acting on a pivoted lever in the front lump, carved serpentine fences, non-rebounding sidelocks with high-spurred, carved hammers, replacement crosspin, best bold acanthus scroll engraving, bright finish overall, 14 1/4in. highly-figured stock with engraved steel heel and toe plates, fore-end wood with light damage, weight 7lb. 11oz.
