30in. replacement nitro chopperlump barrels (by the makers circa 1999), the rib inscribed 'BOSS & CO. 13. DOVER STREET. PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.1.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/4in. well-figured replacement stock, small insert repair to fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 13oz., in a brass-cornered leather case. The makers have kindly confirmed that this shotgun was completed circa 1896 for a G. Montagu, Esq.
