SAM'l COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', nickel-silver fore-sight, cylinder engraved with naval scene, patent no. over-stamped with last four digits of serial no., steel frame not cut for shoulder-stock and marked 'COLTS PATENT', brass trigger-guard, steel grip-strap a replacement from gun no xx5735, wood grips, the base of which crudely carved with two sets of initials (the whole with very little finish, bruising and discolouration to metal, hammer with old repair, replacement non-original trigger), TOGETHER WITH a period soft-leather full-flap lined holster, (stitching loose, extensive wear)
