A 50-BORE BRASS-FRAMED BOXLOCK PERCUSSION POCKET PISTOL,
circa 1840, with 1 7/8in fluted turn-off barrel, dolphin hammer, florally scroll engraved side-panels and trigger-strap, border engraved tang signed by the maker, finely chequered bag-shaped butt with silver oval escutcheon and lion-mask, concealed trigger, Birmingham proofs.
